What ChekBuk costs.
Fees are in US dollars. In other currencies, the app shows the equivalent before you confirm.
Payout options depend on where you live, and the app only shows the ones that work for your wallet. The full, current list is in our fee schedule.
Worked examples.
For illustration. The app always shows the exact fee before you confirm.
How our fees work.
- You see it first. Every fee and the total appear before you approve anything. If you don’t like it, don’t confirm.
- The rate you see is the rate you get. Nothing is added after you confirm.
- Whoever starts it pays. The person who starts a transaction pays its fee, unless the escrow terms say otherwise.
- Verified fee only at funding. If an escrow is cancelled before it’s funded, nobody pays.
- 30 days’ notice. We tell you at least 30 days before a fee goes up or a new fee starts.
- Others may charge too. Your bank, card issuer or mobile money provider may charge its own fees, and blockchain networks charge network fees. We don’t set those.

Is there a monthly fee?
No. Opening an account and holding balances are free, with no monthly or inactivity fee.
Is there a fee to convert?
There’s no separate conversion fee. Your quote shows the rate, what you pay and what you get, and nothing is added after you confirm.
Who pays the Verified escrow fee?
The deal says who pays: the payer, the seller, or both, split. Nothing is charged until the deal is funded. Once we’ve verified a requirement, the fee isn’t refunded.
Can fees change?
We give at least 30 days’ notice of any increase or new fee, by email or in the app. The fee that applies is the one shown when you confirm.
