What does Verified escrow add?
A ChekBuk verifier checks each requirement, such as a tracking number or a delivery photo, before funds can be released. If our verification turns out to be wrong, the Verified guarantee refunds the payer under the escrow terms.
When is the Verified fee charged?
When the deal is funded. If it’s cancelled before funding, nobody pays. Once we’ve verified a requirement, the fee isn’t refunded.
Does ChekBuk check the goods?
No. We don’t inspect goods or do the work. On Verified escrow, our staff check the proof for each listed requirement. That isn’t a guarantee of quality.
What can’t I use escrow for?
Anything illegal or banned by our Acceptable Use Policy. That includes sanctioned people or places, illegal goods or services, and fake or circular deals.
