For buyers
Pay without paying on faith.
- Your money is held, not sent, until the goods arrive
- Ask for proof like tracking numbers or photos
- Raise a dispute if the item isn’t as agreed
- A ChekBuk moderator decides if you can’t agree
Buyers don’t want to pay first. Sellers don’t want to ship first. Escrow fixes that: the money is held until both sides have done their part.

Pay without paying on faith.
Close sales with buyers who won’t pay first.
The buyer or the seller sets the price, the item and the proof needed, like a tracking number.
Nothing is paid until both of you accept the exact terms.
The money is held. The seller can see it’s there before shipping.
Tracking details and photos go into the deal’s shared thread.
Once the item arrives as agreed, the buyer releases the money to the seller.

Don’t release the money. Raise a dispute in the app before the deadline, and a ChekBuk moderator reviews the proof. They can refund you, release to the seller or split the money.
Once you’ve delivered and asked for release, the buyer has 14 days to release or dispute. If they do neither, the money is released to you.
Not for anything illegal or banned by our Acceptable Use Policy, including illegal goods and fake deals.
Standard escrow is free. Verified escrow is 1.5% of the deal, with a $5 minimum and a $250 maximum. The deal says who pays, and nothing is charged until it’s funded.
